Who have you chosen to serve today? Who has the allegiance of your heart? God has given you the power and gift of choice. This power allows you to choose Christ and through Him and His power in your life you will live according to His will because you have chosen to give Him control of your life. Without Christ your only power is to live in rebellion against Christ.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev 3:20 New American Standard Bible)

Christ’s invitation is to choose him. When you make that choice he promises to come into your life. The converse is also true. The devil stands at your door and knocks as well. He also asks you to open your life to him and if invited in will insure that your life remains in rebellion to God.

Both of these powers will affect your life once you invite them in. Christ notes that “he who is not with Me is against Me…” (Matt 12:30). You will choose one or the other. Your only power in life is who you will choose to follow. Christ will always make the right choice for you. Let him into your life. Choose him as the Master of your destiny.
David requested God to “create in me a clean heart, O God…” (Psalms 51:10). This needs to be our daily prayer. As choices are encountered give the choice to God. What should I wear? How should I drive? What should I eat? Are the clothes and accessories designed to draw attention to me or to God? Do we skirt the law and drive fast or cut in front of others in our haste and selfishness? Do we satisfy our lustful cravings with unhealthy foods or too much food? If we give those decisions to Christ, He will always choose the one that is right. He will never make a choice that will be detrimental to your eternal salvation. Build upon those small choices in your life and soon you will be having Christ make all the choices in your life both small and great. Ask for faith to believe that Christ is on your side and working for your benefit.

Choose Him.
